Microsoft has decided to turn on Copilot+ Recall by default on InTune managed Copilot+ PCs. Recall is a screen-recording feature that records everything you do on your Windows 11 computer. It does not blur or hide financial, personal, or any other sensitive information on screen as part of the recordings. It does however block any content within InPrivate Edge browser sessions.
There are many other AI features making their way into Windows at the moment too. If you don’t want to use them, or you’re yet to publish your AI policy and want to delay their release, you may wish to turn them off.
How to turn off Recall for InTune managed Copilot+ devices

You can find the snapshot settings under Privacy & Security > Recall & Snapshots. The settings in the screenshot are the current defaults.
To change this on your managed devices you’ll need to set a ‘Turn off saving snapshots for Windows’ policy at User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > WindowsAI > Turn off saving snapshots for Windows.
You can see more about this in Microsoft’s official documentation.
More Microsoft AI Policies
You can also check out Microsoft’s Policy CSP – WindowsAI page for more on managing AI-specific features of Windows. The policies available currently are somewhat limited but I’d expect the page to be fleshed out over time. The most useful other policy on there currently is the ability to disable Copilot in Windows.
